My name is Corey ...or at least, it was. Most people reading these words have never heard me called by that name. However, Corey is all I'd ever known up to a certain point in my childhood. My mother insists that it was my idea, and I seem to remember it differently. Either way, it was the mid 80s and Mom was registering me for yet another new school. A conversation took place about whether I might want to stop going by Corey and register at school with my first name. God only knows why I did it, but on that fateful night I left a piece of my early childhood behind. It took my family and friends years to stop calling me Corey.

Change has been a constant in my life, for better or for worse. Over time I've stood on both sides of many controversial issues. I'm as full of contradictions as I am cliches. I love to tell stories, and to be honest, I'm sort of desperate to be heard. If reading that puts you off, you probably won't like this blog. I do, however, invite you to stay. Let's talk about music, comedy, acting, photography, cinematography, food, religion, history, science, parenting, psychology, art, money, guns, philosophy (I may need your help on that one), storytelling, war, politics and life in general.
